The Trials And Tribulations Of A Battle Tested Christian

I have been rather quiet lately, been spending a lot of time praying for my daughter and other that are going thru some mighty ruff weather right now.  My daughter, Qiana had a pretty ruff week but she is on the mend the last coupla days.  The Doctors have found a cocktail mix that has her potassium levels up and is keeping her blood pressure rate in check.  Just last week she had a light heart attack brought on by inadequate potassium levels due to the fact that she cannot digest any foods due to a bad gall bladder, which cannot be removed until she is in stable condition to withstand the surgery.  God has been very good to us over a long period of time and I pray that he continues to show my family favor.  So I again ask you to pray for each and everyone that is in need off healing, financial rescue and salvation and I will do the same. Always remember that prayer is the most powerful thing in our lives and we are the Prayer Angels.

Many of you do might not know that my family and extended circle were in the grip of illness and death for the majority of 2012 and the entirety of 2013.  In 2012 the family lost quite a few close friends and relatives, like Jackie Franklin, Bobby Franklin, and my Bro-In-Law Bro Odra Dyson, then Cousin Pauline Hooper died suddenly of Dementia, a week later her husband, Willie J Hooper died.  Bobby died from a massive heart attack, but Jackie and Dyson lost their battle with Cancer.  My other Bro-in-law, William Hawkins, continued to win his fight with prostate cancer and is doing quite well and we are praying for many more years of health for him.

In the last quarter of 2012 my Cousin Alice was stricken again and began her 2nd battle with Cancer which had sprouted up in another area of her body.  While we were praying for strength for her we got more tough news, our cousins Mr and Mrs Willie Hooper were very both ill and the Mrs was going downhill fast.  Then came 2013 and a sigh of relief I though, but the demon of illness and death still had not extracted enough to satisfy his hunger so the Prayer Angels and I went to work again knowing that the processes of life must go on we prayed the prayer of the Knowing Christian, that if this cup was not to pass then we prayed that God saw fit to strengthen those that were left here on earth so that they could continue the good fight.

My wife became ill in October, and again we all got busy praying for healing and strength to take on a new battle, before she could heal from that surgery, we were informed that she had Cancer.  Faith had taken us this far and we knew that it was all we had as my wife began her bout with Cancer.  She won her battle hands down, but one day before she came home I happen to look across the alley at my neighbor, he was not looking healthy, and when I inquired I was informed that he too was in the mist of a battle with Cancer. It seemed this demon was attacking me and mine from all sides.  Little did I know that at that same time a very close friend of mine, Barbara was  going thru her battle with the same dreaded disease. My cousin Alice and my friend Barbara are sill fighting the good fight and we continue to pray that they reach the same miraculous results that my wife did. As my wife mends my my sister in law and my nephew are in the midst of battles with major illness.

Many in my immediate circle had not made it to 2013 some dying only a week apart from each other.  I was glad to see the end of 2012 and took a deep breath since I was so glad to see the beginning of a new year.

Almost immediately more attack began on my childhood neighbors, Footney Miner died, then Mrs Will H Miner Jr died, then there was JoAnn Robertson followed the next week by her very sickly husband Clifford Jr., others died so fast I could not keep track of them. I became uncomfortable asking about friends and family, but many were spared such as Kevin Miner who had quadruple bypass surgery. Shortly after that Courtney andrews the elder states man died then there were only two senior citizens in my  community of Liberty still living, Mrs Alene Shelton and Mrs Lavern Miner.  There were times I felt like Job but I know that there is no Testimony without a Test, so we face our Test head on.
